What it works

Back

How to do it

  1. 1Hang from a bar with an underhand grip about shoulder width, arms fully straight.
  2. 2Pull your chest toward the bar, driving the elbows down and back, until your chin clears it.
  3. 3Lower all the way to a dead hang.
  4. 4The underhand grip brings the biceps in heavily — that's why most people can do more chins than pull-ups.
