Stiffer, stronger calves protect the Achilles and add spring.

What it works

Calves, Achilles

How to do it

  1. 1Standing (optionally loaded), lower into a full stretch at the bottom, then rise all the way onto the big toe and pause at the top before lowering slowly.
  2. 2Stronger, stiffer calves protect the Achilles and add spring to every stride and jump.
  3. 3Use a full range and a slow lower — bouncing wastes the set.
