Tricep Pushdown
The go-to triceps isolation for the outer head.
What it works
Triceps
How to do it
- 1Stand at a high pulley with a bar, elbows pinned to your sides.
- 2Push down until the arms are straight, squeeze, then let the bar rise under control to about 90° at the elbow.
- 3The elbows must not travel forward or drift out — the moment they move, the chest and shoulders take over.
Cues that matter
- ›Elbows glued to your sides
- ›Full lockout at the bottom
- ›Control back up
