GK reaction saves
Trains the close-range reflex saves and the vital second-ball recovery.
What it works
Whole body
How to do it
- 1From close range with a rebounder or a rapid server, take six to ten quick serves with your hands ready at hip height and your body big.
- 2React to the ball itself, not the server's arm.
- 3Critically, recover to your feet immediately after every save to deal with the second ball — the rebound is where most close-range goals actually come from.
- 4Take full rest between sets so quality stays high.
Cues that matter
- ›React to the ball, not the server
- ›Stay big — hands ready at hip height
- ›Recover to your feet fast for the second ball
