Sled push
Conditioning that builds acceleration strength — the only cardio that makes you faster as well as fitter.
What it works
Quads, Glutes, Cardio
How to do it
- 1Set the handles at chest height for a heavier push or low for a more aggressive drive.
- 2Get a strong forward lean with straight arms, brace the trunk, and take short, powerful steps driving through the whole foot.
- 3Do not let the hips rise and the back round.
- 4Keep the load heavy enough that it stays a push rather than a jog — this is meant to build leg drive as much as an engine.
Cues that matter
- ›Low body angle, arms locked out
- ›Short, aggressive steps
- ›Drive through the whole foot
