What it works

Quads, Glutes

How to do it

  1. 1Stand with your back against a wall, feet a step forward, and slide down only as far as stays comfortable — often a quarter of the way at first.
  2. 2Knees track over the middle toes rather than falling inward.
  3. 3Push through the whole foot to come back up.
  4. 4Ten reps, three sets.
  5. 5The wall takes balance out of it so you can reintroduce bending under load without the joint having to stabilise as well.
