Band lateral walks
Wakes up the glute med so the knee stops caving inward.
RecoveryBandSlow · constant tension
What it works
Glute med
How to do it
- 1Loop a band around the legs (above the knees or at the ankles), drop into a half-squat, and take small controlled steps sideways keeping constant tension on the band and the knees tracking out over the toes.
- 2It wakes up the glute medius so the knee stops collapsing inward — a direct fix for valgus.
Cues that matter
- ›Tension on the band the whole set
- ›Knees tracking out over the toes
- ›Small, controlled steps
