Monster walks
Pre-activates the glutes so the knee holds its line from the very first sprint.
MobilityBand10 steps each way · 2–3 rounds
What it works
Glute med, Glute max
How to do it
- 1With a band above the knees, drop into a half-squat and step forward on a diagonal, keeping constant band tension and driving the knees outward the whole time.
- 2Walk ten steps forward, then ten backward.
- 3It pre-activates the glute medius so your knee holds its line from the first sprint of the session rather than the tenth.
Cues that matter
- ›Band above the knees, tension held
- ›Half-squat throughout
- ›Step forward-diagonally, knees out
