How to do it

  1. 1Stand on one leg beside a line or low hurdle and hop sideways over it and back, landing on the ball of the foot with a soft knee.
  2. 2Twenty seconds, three rounds.
  3. 3Listen for the landings — noise means force you are not absorbing.
  4. 4Keep your weight over the middle of the foot rather than rolling to the outside.
  5. 5This is the last thing an ankle has to prove before you cut on it.
