Couch stretch

Releases the tight hip flexors that flatten your sprint stride and nag the lower back.

What it works

Hip flexors, Quads

How to do it

  1. 1Place your back foot up on a wall or bench with the knee on the floor beneath it, then squeeze the glute of that back leg and tuck your pelvis under before rising tall.
  2. 2Hold 60–90 seconds per side and breathe.
  3. 3It targets the hip flexors and quads that shorten from sitting, flatten your sprint stride and often refer pain to the lower back.
  4. 4Intense — build the hold time gradually.
