Rack Pull
Overloads the top half of the deadlift from the pins, so you handle more than the floor would ever let you lift.
What it works
Whole Body
How to do it
- 1Set the pins so the bar starts just below or above the knee.
- 2Take your deadlift stance, brace, and pull to lockout, then lower back to the pins.
- 3It overloads the top half of the deadlift — resist the urge to add so much weight that the back rounds.
Cues that matter
- ›Set the pins just below the knee
- ›Brace before you break it off the pins
- ›Stop the moment the back wants to round
