Band finger extension

Trains the hand to open as well as close, which balances a programme where everything else asks it to squeeze.

What it works

Grip, Forearms

How to do it

  1. 1Put a light band around all five fingertips and open the hand slowly against it until the fingers are fully spread, then close under control rather than letting the band snap them shut.
  2. 2Everything else in a programme asks the hand to squeeze; this is the only thing that asks it to open, which is what keeps the two sides of the forearm in proportion to each other.
