Finishing drill
Repeatable striking technique so chances get finished under pressure.
What it works
Quads, Glutes, Core
How to do it
- 1Work through repeated strikes on goal from realistic positions: plant your non-kicking foot beside the ball pointing at your target, keep your head still with your eyes on the ball through contact, and strike through the middle-to-upper half for a low, controlled finish.
- 2Decide your corner before the ball arrives rather than after.
- 3Reset fully between reps — this is a technique drill, and tired, sloppy strikes just groove bad habits.
Cues that matter
