Wrist Curl
Direct work for the forearms, which almost every programme leaves entirely to grip on other lifts.
What it works
Forearms
How to do it
- 1Sit with your forearms on your thighs or a bench, palms up, wrists hanging past the edge.
- 2Let the bar roll to the fingertips, then curl it back up and squeeze.
- 3Only the wrists move.
- 4High reps and light weight — the forearms respond to volume.
Cues that matter
- ›Forearms braced, palms facing up
- ›Let it roll to the fingertips
- ›Only the wrists move
