Wrist roller
Takes the forearms through a full range under continuous tension, which almost nothing else in a gym does.
What it works
Grip, Forearms
How to do it
- 1Hold the roller out in front at shoulder height with a weight hanging from the cord.
- 2Roll the cord all the way up by turning the handle hand over hand, then roll it all the way back down slowly rather than letting it unwind.
- 3The lowering is the half that does the work.
- 4Arms stay out in front — dropping them to rest turns it into a very short set of shoulder raises instead.
Cues that matter
- ›Arms out in front at shoulder height
- ›Roll it all the way up, then all the way down
- ›Lower it slowly — that half is the work
