What you need

  1. 1Potatoes sliced thin and boiled 6 minutes, drained.
  2. 2Onion, garlic and kale softened in the oil in an ovenproof pan.
  3. 3Potatoes layered in over them, pressed down flat.
  4. 4Eggs beaten with the cheddar and plenty of pepper, poured over, and shuffled so it reaches the bottom.
  5. 5Ten minutes on the hob on low, then under a hot grill for 4 until the top puffs and browns.
