What you need
- ·30g porridge oats
- ·280g soya milk (unsweetened)
- ·30g pea protein powder
- ·100g frozen mixed berries
- ·8g mixed seeds
Method
- 1Thirty grams of oats, not seventy. This is a cutting breakfast and the oats are here for texture, not for bulk.
- 2Simmer them in the soya milk for 4 minutes until it thickens.
- 3OFF the heat before the pea protein goes anywhere near it, beaten in with a splash of water. On the heat it seizes into grains and never comes back.
- 4Frozen berries stirred through — they cool it to eating temperature and thin it back out at the same time.
Pea protein tastes chalky in water and doesn't here, because the oats and berries give it something to hide behind.
