What you need

  1. 1Thirty grams of oats, not seventy. This is a cutting breakfast and the oats are here for texture, not for bulk.
  2. 2Simmer them in the soya milk for 4 minutes until it thickens.
  3. 3OFF the heat before the pea protein goes anywhere near it, beaten in with a splash of water. On the heat it seizes into grains and never comes back.
  4. 4Frozen berries stirred through — they cool it to eating temperature and thin it back out at the same time.
