Kettlebell clean

A hinge that finishes in the rack position, and the movement everything else with a kettlebell starts from.

What it works

Glutes, Shoulders, Grip

How to do it

  1. 1From a hinge, pull the bell up and back close to the body, then punch the hand around it and catch it in the rack position on the forearm with the elbow tucked into the ribs.
  2. 2It should land quietly.
  3. 3If it bangs down onto the wrist, the hand went around it too late — the fix is to keep it closer and punch earlier, not to grip harder.
  4. 4Lower it by guiding it back down between the legs into the next rep.
