What it works
Glutes, Shoulders, Grip
How to do it
- 1From a hinge, drive the hips and pull the bell up close to the body, then punch the hand through and around it so it settles overhead with the arm locked out — one motion, no pause at the shoulder.
- 2Lower it by letting it fall in front and guiding it back between the legs.
- 3Learn the clean and the swing first; this is those two movements at speed and it is unforgiving of a late hand.
Cues that matter
- ›One motion from the hips to overhead
- ›Punch the hand through at the top
- ›Learn the clean before you try this
